Block Party: second edition
Sunday, August 29, 2010
Welcome to the second edition of Block Party, a monthly blogzine celebrating writers and artists. It's been a slow month for submissions and I understand why. The furnace-blast heat of August coupled with the beginning of school is enough to keep anyone off the page. I'm guilty as well. The heat has dipped down in the frosty low 90s today and here, it looks a little like rain. That's almost enough to reconstitute my dried-out creative impulse. I hope it's the same where you are.
Want to join in next month? Read the submission guidelines here, then enter your work through Easy Street's blog carnival. You owe it to yourself.

Audrey presents Prompted, a piece based on the prompt "five things to throw in the fire." Posted at her blog, Untitled.
